THE HANDOVER FIELD GUIDE
Turn WordPress Site Health into a client-ready report
Use WordPress’s built-in clipboard export to create a technical work record without installing another plugin.
Start with the built-in Info export
Open Tools → Site Health → Info in WordPress, then choose Copy site info to clipboard. You need access to this screen; Handoverdesk does not log into the site or bypass permissions.
Paste the text into Handoverdesk and choose Build inventory. The parser keeps recognized software and selected environment fields, theme details and plugin names, versions and states. It omits database details, directory paths, constants and unrelated sections. Review retained names before sharing.
Give the client a useful record
Choose Handover when transferring a site, or Work record after an update or repair. Add your name, the client, a work date and a short description of what you actually delivered. The report places your notes and a summary before the technical inventory.
Do not imply that a software version establishes the site is safe or fully tested. Record any testing you actually performed separately in your own work notes.
Export and retain
Download the report as a portable HTML file. Open it and use the browser’s Print / Save PDF command for a fixed document. Keep the report with your project records.
The free report includes Handoverdesk attribution. An optional project pass adds unbranded documents, editable offline files and saved snapshots.
Know the limits
Site Health Info is technical configuration data, not the Status tab’s full test results or a complete activity log. It cannot establish account ownership, current backup reliability, who changed a setting or when. The generated date records assembly, not independently verified completion.
